Last Night In New Zealand

It's my last night in Aotearoa! So I'm packed, and sorted and ready to go.... almost... bit nervous, bout leaving everyone at home, but i'm sure it will ALL BE FINE (or so I hope..).

I'm over in kgs for check in luggage and have already posted 23 kgs in a box to Tomioka with teaching equipment and presents - hope it gets there in one piece because I need it!!

I kinda wish that i had some time to go and see my cuzzies in japan first, but oh well, my first goal is to travel and see them!!!

I didn't finish my writings on my research :( so I'm gonna have to take that over as well - but i WILL get it done! never fear jols! hehe.

SO! wish me luck, I'm to be at the airport at 5.30am and am off! I think I could have learnt more Nihongo, but s'pouse you can always learn more :p

Update on leaving

Konnichi wa!

 

I am leaving on Wednesday the 1st of August and getting picked up at Narita Airport Japan to go to Tomioka! yay! I haven't packed yet, and am still completing research about RTR young womens programme still, but it's really beginning to feel real now!

 

Have crap loads to do still, so as soon as I have time, I am seriously gonna *pimp* this site, but in the meantime, at least anyone that's reading this knows I have a date to leave on now :)

4 weeks approx. to go...

Hello!
This is my blog site for 2007 :) Am shooting off to Japan soon - well, hopefully, when my Visa info comes back to me! Am going to a place called Tomioka, in Fukushima....

... I got a job teaching English in the local Junior High & Primary Schools with a bit of work in the Community Centre as well :)

Bit scary leaving all of the action and close people down here, but I intend on making this an amazing experience!

So, welcome to my blog! I'll update this with my different antics over my prep time, for the time I'm away and maaayyyybbbeeee if I travel further, what I do after :p
